Translation #6: Where Is Our Home? will screen tonight at Trinity Square Video as part of the program Communication, curated by Marcin Wisniewski

Short Sentences 1993-2005 is screening tonight at Videofag in Toronto, along with work by Phil Hoffman and Andy Paterson. The program was curated by the indomitable Clint Enns. The beautiful poster was designed by Leslie Supnet.

Two new pieces of mine - Invocation n.1 and Invocation n.2 - appeared on Outward from Nothingness, curated for the month of June by the venerable Guru Rugu.

Film: Rope

In April 2013 my piece Film: Rope premiered at the Images Festival in Toronto. Film: Rope was produced by FADO and it was performed by Michael Caldwell, Marcin Kedzior, Cara Spooner, and myself. Here's a link to Andrew James Paterson's essay on the project. YYZGRU

I wrote a bunch of text scores for Eugenio Salas' YYZGRU project, presented in January 2013 in São Paulo as part of the Hemispheric Institute Encuentro 2013 

A new super8 film I shot with Clint Enns is screening tonight at the 8fest in Toronto. It is called, somewhat confusingly, I II III IIII IIIII I III III IIII and it's based on my realization of Mark So's score ascending emptiness of the afternoon (You have built a mountain of something)

 

Esercizi

In November 2012 I began a collaboration with Italian literary website FN. My section, a collection of experimental meditation scores, is called Esercizi.

Film 9: Cronaca di un amore

On August 2 Hurla Janus (Elio Marchesini, Alessandra Novaga, Sandro Mussida) and Elena Russo Arman performed a realization of Film (Film 9: Cronaca di un Amore) at the Incubator Arts Project in New York City.

On July 27 Alessandra Novaga performed this wonderful realization of Untilted. January at Willow Place Auditorium in Brooklyn as part of Transient Series, curated by Andrew Christopher Smith.
